Primary 6/7 take part in PlayMakers during term 1 resulting in Primarys 7’s gaining a PlayMaker’s qualification. Through the coaching of Colin McRae from Active schools the pupils take part in 8 weeks of training to lead playground games. The pupils love taking part in play leaders and lead activities for pupils from P1 – 7 at breaktime and lunchtime. This has enabled the pupils to develop their leadership, teamwork and communication skills which in turn enables the younger children of Aberlour primary to have more enjoyable structured play at lunch and break.
